Thank you! I've been flaming BB&R for a long time, and these are pretty powerful words against it. And...I agree...
How...old...is this thread?

Thank you! I've been flaming BB&R for a long time, and these are pretty powerful words against it. And...I agree... The big thing I keep fighting is the "proof list". Sure, Gar turned into a tapeworm and went into Brother Blood Jr.'s stomach to get Raven's chakra. BUT, if it was a critical computer chip belonging to Vic, Gar would do the same thing. Gar hugged Raven... he's also hugged Starfire, and Wonder Girl (1 and 2), and Jillian, and a few dozen other female heroes. He's also made passes at Zatanna and Jade... and several others that I'm not remembering at the moment. And the big thing that people don't like to acknowledge... each time Raven healed Gar, there was a "moment". She healed him right before that "kiss". She initiated the kiss... and he seemed just surprised afterwards - not interested. There's no saying that each time she healed him, her powers affected him in another way. My suspicion is that, once Raven left the team, any influence her powers had on Gar "wore off." It didn't have to be a conscious effort on her part... influencing him in any way. If Gar was REALLY serious about Raven, even though his stepmom was back from the dead and the DP was asking for his help, Gar would have first found Raven, then gone to the DP. There's also the fact that Raven's been "deaged." She's in a teen body experiencing hormones and reactions that, the last time around, she had to keep under rigid control (and I'm certain that during her teen years, Azar kept all young males away from Raven). Plus add in that time Raven developed feelings for Nightwing after Nightwing saved her. Well, Gar saved Raven this time. I don't see much difference, except for the fact that Gar doesn't have a significant other at the current time. Trust me... I can come up with reasons for being against the ship that make sense.

Gar has hit on just about every woman that was within a mile radius from him. ;D

Gar has hit on just about every woman that was within a mile radius from him. ;D Well, not totally true. He apparently didn't hit on either Fever or Freak in Arcudi's Doom Patrol, though both of them could have been considered "visually appealing".

LOL, I don't really keep track of his actions in the comics. But from what I've seen he's hit on most of them. The last comic I read with him in it was the "A Kids Game" series.
